I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Resource Management in 1976.  But I have been knocking around the woods all of my life.  I worked my way through college by cutting pulp and my first job out of college was cutting & bunching pulp.  I worked on the forest industry side of things my entire career, working for both huge international forest product companies and small family owned operations.  I spent some time in the hardwood lumber industry as a log buyer, procurement manager, lumber buyer and a sawmill manager.  I have also spent time in the pulpwood industry as a stumpage buyer and a logging crew manager.  I am a life member of the Wisconsin Woodland Owner’s association, a Certified Plan Writer and have my certification as a pesticide applicator.  One of my greatest pleasures in life is working with a wood land owner who wants to perpetuate and improve his woodland for future generations.
